Clay in Motion Part 2- Foundation Throwing Course - $360

Dates: Tuesdays, 10th October - 14th November 2023, 6pm - 9pm 

In this 6 week pottery class, you will ground yourself with a foundation of wheel thrown pottery. You’ll be able to take a ball of mud and throw it into something beautiful (or not, that's fine too). Learn the essential skills of wedging, centering (the most gloriously frustrating, hypnotising process you’ll ever experience), wheel throwing and trimming. In the final week, we come together for a glazing session to turn our masterpieces into fully functional ceramics.

Projects could include small bowls, tumblers, plant pots, vases and mugs.

During each three-hour lesson you will be guided to discover your personal approach to the art of clay throwing.

This course is aimed at complete beginners and also for those who've had a few lessons, but need a refresher to improve their technique. Maximum of 4 students.

2 kg of clay, glaze, all materials and firings are included. More clay can be purchased as we go.

Please wear clothing that can get muddy and bring an old towel. Short fingernails can be an advantage :-)

Cancellations & Refunds

If the organiser cancels the class:

You are entitled to a full refund.

If you can't attend the class:

You’re welcome to send someone in your place.

OR

3+ weeks prior to start of term students will get a $360 refund.

1+ week prior to start of term students will get a $100 refund.

No refunds will be given if student cancels less than 1 week prior to term starting, or after the term has started.
