Meet the Wheel - Introductory Throwing Course - $130

Dates: Fridays 1st & 8th December, 9:30am - 12:30pm

In this 2 week short introductory course you will learn how to make a small vessel, such as a bowl or vase (or something in between) on a potter's wheel.

Class 1: Meet the clay, wedging and throwing a basic form.  Class 2: Trimming the piece and adding your very own style to it through coloured slip/underglaze and carvings.

Your piece will then be fired and glazed with transparent glaze and ready for pick up in 4 - 5 weeks' time after the course.

This course is aimed at complete beginners. Maximum of 4 students.

2 kg of clay, glaze, all materials and firings are included. More clay can be purchased as we go.

Please wear clothing that can get muddy and bring an old towel. Short fingernails can be an advantage :-)

Cancellations & Refunds

If the organiser cancels the class:

You are entitled to a full refund.

If you can't attend the class:

You’re welcome to send someone in your place.

OR

3+ weeks prior to start of term students will get a $130 refund.

1+ week prior to start of term students will get a $40 refund.

No refunds will be given if student cancels less than 1 week prior to term starting, or after the term has started.
