Meet the Wheel - Introductory Throwing Course - $180

Dates: Mondays 22nd & 29th July 2024, 6pm - 9pm

In this 2 week short introductory course you will learn how to make a small vessel, such as a bowl or a tumbler (or something in between) on a potter's wheel.

Week 1: Meet the clay, wedging and throwing a basic form on a potter's wheel.  

Week 2: Trimming the piece and adding your very own style to it through underglazes and carvings.

Your piece will then be fired and glazed with transparent or white glaze and ready for pick up in 4 - 5 weeks' time after the course.

This course is aimed at complete beginners. Maximum of 4 students.

2 kg of clay, glaze, all materials and firings are included.

Please wear clothing that can get muddy and bring an old towel. Short fingernails can be an advantage :-)

Cancellations & Refunds

If the organiser cancels the class:

You are entitled to a full refund.

If you can't attend the class:

You’re welcome to send someone in your place.

OR

3+ weeks prior to the start of the term the student will get a $180 refund.

1+ week prior to the start of the term the student will get a $60 refund.

No refunds will be given if the student cancels less than 1 week prior to the term starting, or after the term has started.
